From our little family to yours, the entire Angelette team would like to extend a very merry Christmas to everybody! This year has certainly had its ups and downs, but now is the time to get together with friends and family and celebrate in style.

With the exception of Christmas Day, we’ll be staying open during the Christmas/new year period, so kick back, enjoy the good weather, let us worry about dinner, and rejoice in the fact that you don’t have to go Christmas shopping again for a whole year! 😂

Looking for EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST.

Christmas is already a stressful enough time of year, without the added stress of having to cook a big lunch and feed all of the family.

We’re thinking of offering some Christmas lunch packs that will be available for pickup Christmas morning between 10am-12pm. We’ve got ideas for 2 different packs, both valued at $149.90

Packages would have to be preordered and paid for before Christmas eve, so that we can make sure we have adequate stock on hand to fill orders.

ANGELETTE SUMMER MENU 2021-2022

New menus have arrived just in time for the holiday season, and we couldn’t be happier with how they’ve turned out! Going forwards we’re going to be moving to a seasonal menu model, so you can expect to see a new one every 3 months.

For summer, we’ve tried to incorporate a lot of flavors and cooking techniques that suit this beautiful warm weather we’ve been having. There’s loads of BBQ & grilling, plenty of light, fruity citrus flavors, as well as some classic Italian dishes, and some of our all time favorites.

We’ll be showcasing and doing some in depth explanations of some of the new items over the coming weeks, but for now check out this gallery that we’ve put together with the new items we’re most proud of.

We’re celebrating a very special occasion this weekend…

IT’S ANGELETTE’S FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!

Twelve months ago we opened our doors for the first time and set out on this little adventure not knowing what the future had in store for us. There was a lot of nerves going into this knowing we were opening a new business in the middle of a global pandemic, but the response has been nothing short of incredible.

It’s been an awesome first year, and we’ve all had a lot of fun feeding and getting to know the people of the area. We’ve learnt a lot, and grown so much as a business, and we couldn’t have got to where we are now without you.

We want to thank each and every one of you that has stopped in for a chat, or got a meal. Thank you for all your wonderful feedback, and your loyal patronage. A massive thank you to all our legendary staff, past and present, you guys are the backbone that keeps this shop afloat.

You wouldn’t pick it by looking at her, but Elley is by far the most punk rock out of all the staff. While she’s not quiet old enough to don the traditional metal head look of head to toe tattoos, in the kitchen, she rocks and rolls more than any of us could, while keeping a level head no matter how busy we are.

Since starting with Angelette, Elley has been drawn to our pasta section and is now our go to person for pastas on the weekends. If there was a “cleanest section” award, she’d win without contest.

MEET THE TEAM: STACHE & TOMMO

This is Mason aka Stache (Right) and Tommo (Left). They might be the newest additions to the Angelette crew, but they’ve sure made an impression. The boys are currently stationed in the kitchen (affectionately also known as Munchkinville) out back.

Although you wont see much of them if you visit us in store, they are the powerhouse engine that keeps the shop moving. They’re manning the phones, and acting as the driving force behind getting prep pots filled, and dishes cleaned on Friday and Saturday nights.

We kind of threw them in the deep end a bit, but they’ve found their feet and are bringing their own unique blend of rowdy energy to our busy weekend shifts.

This is Georgie, and she’s been with Angelette pretty much since we opened. She’s worked her way up, and is now stationed on the pizza bench with Will, and has no issues keeping up with the demand.

When she’s not making us feel inferior about our pizza making skills, she’s shredding Jimi Hendrix on guitar, and making us feel inferior about ourselves in general. Don’t forget us when you’re selling out shows around the world Georgie!

This is Will, our main pizza maker, team captain, and tech genius. When he’s not on the pizza bench, filling our oven with delicious Neapolitan style pizza, he’s making the rest of us look silly, making light work of fixing the printers and online systems when we can’t figure out what’s wrong with them.

He’s got a long history of 8 years, and a wealth of experience making pizza for the Croydon area, and it’s that experience and passion that makes our pizzas what they are.

This is Eddie, the owner and head chef of Angelette Authentic Italian.

If you’ve ever had a conversation with him about our food, you’ll know how passionate he is about what he does. He completed his cheffing apprenticeship at Florentino, and has cheffed at a handful of other popular venues across Melbourne.

He might be the brains behind our recipes, but we mainly just tell him to go and clean things. When he’s not in the kitchen, you’ll find him telling everybody about his stereo, or how bad the final fantasy 7 remake was.

We got a bit carried away in the kitchen today and came up with something awesome. It’s a creamy, cheesy, scalloped potato pizza, topped with bacon, rosemary and cracked pepper.

We’re gonna run it as a special this weekend to see what everybody thinks. Normally this would be a gourmet pizza, but we’re pricing it the same as one of our traditional pizzas at just $11.90.
